08.30.08. Sheri graciously hosted a chick-fest at her place. We ate, drank, talked, watched silly stuff on TV and and broke out the make up and tarot cards. And in true girly-fashion, i think there really was a conversation in which we compared periods….

08.29.08. We all went out to Tipperary Inn to hang out with friends and listen to Greg and his fellow musicians play some good Irish music. And it is Cindy’s birthday weekend! Happy Birthday Cindy!

08.21.08. i was stuck in a classroom at work today, training for the new electronic health record that is to come. It was a long day. i took a break by wandering around the “meditation garden” hidden behind the cardiac tower. It was very restful, and i was inspired to take some pictures.

08.15.08. It was nice timing that Matt the Electrician came to town right around Alan’s birthday. (He’s 45! Tell him ‘Happy Birthday!’) We went to see him at a near-weekly coffeehouse held at a church in Dallas. The venue was really comfortable with great sound and the show was mighty fine. And yes, he really is an electrician.

8.8.08. Michael and Ed and i went to a party given by a movie-friend of theirs who has a very nice home and, apparently, a ton of friends. Guests were asked to dress in black or white and “look glamourous.” i didn’t know anyone there and confess i felt a bit out of place. But i did find people to have cool conversations with, and, of course, took pictures with my iphone to amuse myself.

08.07.08. Adam’s party was at a “bounce house” where kids and grownups can bounce off the walls without repercussions… or concussions.

08.06.08. Since i had the camera with me, i decided to take some proper pictures of Alan’s new favorite toy. It turned into quite the photo shoot. Here are some of the better shots.
